The only thing that will take you back to how it felt.

Documentary wedding films for destination weddings in Cancún, the Riviera Maya and Beyond
No direction. No templates. Just what actually happened.

Why couples trust my approach

I come from a background in visual storytelling, with formal studies in photography in Mexico and a Master’s degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Most of my work has been developed in commercial environments where structure, precision, and consistency are essential. That same standard defines how I approach weddings.

My approach is documentary by design, I don’t direct or interrupt the day, but observe it with enough awareness to anticipate what matters. Every film is built through a controlled process: from how moments are captured, to how audio is recorded, to how every file is handled and preserved. The focus is not only on how the film looks, but on how it is managed from beginning to end, so what is captured can actually last.

The cinematography is so beautiful — everyone we show our film to says they’ve never seen anything like it.

— Maura & Jason, San José, California

Watch the Films

The best way to understand this approach is to experience it. Each film is built differently, but they all share the same intention, to preserve not just what the day looked like, but how it felt.

María & Fer – Hacienda Xtepen, Merida.

A three-day celebration rooted in Mexican tradition, filled with energy, color, and a true sense of celebration.

Maura & Jason – Cenote Hats’uts, Q.R.

An intimate and spiritual celebration set deep in the jungle, where nature and emotion shaped every moment.

Yanet & Marc – Playa del Carmen, Q.R.

A sunset beach wedding shaped by light, emotion, and the natural rhythm of a destination celebration.

— Fiorela & Steven, Charlotte, South Carolina

«From the very beginning, Xavier was professional, responsive, and genuinely great to work with. He created an environment where everything felt natural, never forced or staged, and captured the real essence of the day with remarkable attention to detail

A personal approach to storytelling

My work as a filmmaker is shaped by a broader background in visual storytelling, developed over more than a decade working across photography, commercial projects, and narrative-driven content. That foundation was further refined through advanced studies at the School of Visual Arts in New York, where I focused on understanding how stories are built through timing, emotion, and structure rather than just visuals. While my work in wedding filmmaking is more recent, the approach behind it is not, it comes from years of learning how to observe, anticipate, and capture moments with intention and consistency. This allows me to approach weddings with a level of awareness that goes beyond simply documenting events, focusing instead on the relationships, the atmosphere, and the subtle moments that often define how a day is remembered. For couples planning a destination wedding, this becomes especially important, as trust, communication, and experience play a significant role in how the entire process feels from beginning to end.

Because in the end, what matters is not just what is filmed, but how it is experienced years later.
